    Note From the President

    I would like to welcome you to our website. Welcome to 2010, can you believe how fast last year went by.  Our next class will be in June in Louisiana keep your eye on the website for dates and place.  We have moved our “First Strike” from Level I to Level II and added a class on “Caring for Exotic Animals” in our Level I.  Being in the animal field you never know what you might come across in your day to day calls, so this is a great addition to help all of us learn how to care for those out of the ordinary creatures.  It is not every day you get a call or someone brings into your shelter, snakes, lizards, birds etc.  It is just as important that we know how to care for these animals as we do dogs and cats.  We are very excited and pleased to have Dr. Jennifer D’Agostino, DVM,Dipl. ACZM as the teacher for the part of our  Level I.

    ACCI is looking for new board members. If you are interested please get in touch with me and I will let you know what is needed from you so I can present it to the board. Keep in mind that ACCI board members are not paid for what they do. It is an out of your own pocket expense. And we are a working board. I will be able to explain everything that would be expected of you as a board member if you give me a call or shoot me an email. Please don’t take it lightly.
